Every Monday night from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. we have youth group for 6th grade through Seniors in high school. Here at RLSL (Real Life Student Life) our hope and prayer for every teen is that they would graduate with a personal relationship with Jesus. That they would walk in the power of the Spirit and have an identity firmly rooted in who God has called and is calling them to be.
The first step on a Monday night is stopping by our check in station located just inside the doors from our patio. This check-in process helps us know who we are being trusted with for the evening as well as gives us an opportunity to gather some basic info so that we can get to know your teen as they get to know us! The rest of the night focuses on fun community building, Worship and the Word, and making vital connections in our Small Groups.
We value your students and understand that teens in today’s world experience unique challenges. One of those challenges is the Crisis of Identity and here at RLSL our goal is that every teen discovers their identity as a Child of God. That they are known, supported, wanted, and loved by God and by our Youth team here at Real Life!
We believe that life is done better together. We strive to be a connection point for teens and a safe place for students to find and strengthen Christ-like relationships with other teens that will last a lifetime.
Our faith should affect the way that we live out our lives. We don’t teach just for knowledge’s sake but for life change. Walking with Jesus is a lifelong journey, and we love to walk with our teens wherever they find themselves on this journey: at the starting line, a couple years on the road, or not sure what they think about this whole Jesus thing.
We know that your students are important to you. What is important to you is important to us. All our volunteers have completed a background check and we have one point of entry that is monitored or locked while we are meeting.
We want to be a place where teens want to be. Ministry is best done in relationship and one of the best ways to build relationships is through fun! Which means we have all kinds of opportunities for fun ranging from camps and retreats to nerf wars, backyard BBQ’s, and game nights all for the purpose of connection and building community.
